Outdated, unreadable.

I can't believe this book is required for my class. The page layout is nearly unreadable. The text is fantastic as long as you just need to learn which buttons to push and not why. Many of the hilighted techniques are outdated. I wish I could return it.

Had to get this book for a design class...

The content is atrocious. I guess if you are just starting out in the creative suite it could be SOMEWHAT helpful, but seriously? This book is trash. The 'designs' and labs in this book are an eyesore. Just sign up for lynda.com to learn about Ai, Ps, and iD. Seriously this book was the biggest waste of money ever, I cant believe my teacher/faculty okay'd this book for our class... If you have to get this book like me just go with the eBook, cheapest option. You will never use this book again.

Anyone skilled enough to write an instructional book should be smart enough to know how to include page numbers in the book. Though it appears to be well-written and possibly helpful, the fact that page numbers are missing is aggravating, frustrating, and unacceptable. Is this a new trend in textbooks?

Very helpful insights!

I’ve been following Nathaniell’s website, http://onemorecupof-coffee.com/ for a few months now and I was happy to see he came out with this ebook. His style of writing makes him come across as very approachable with real-world experience.
Money Blog stepped me through the process from start to finish on what to expect in affiliate marketing. There are many books out there that talk about affiliate marketing but they don’t tell you where we can get tripped up. Can I make $1,000’s of dollars each moth when I first get started? No! And that’s reality. Nathaniell isn’t blowing smoke and promising easy money. He’s giving us real information on what we need to do and know about creating our own monetized websites.
I particularly liked Chapter 6 on what components a basic website should contain and WordPress plugins. Also, how to find the right niche was excellent. Each chapter has a checklist of ‘homework’ so the reader can make progress on their own sites as they work through the ebook.
I highly recommend this ebook for your reference library.

Nathaniell knows what he's talking about

I read the intro and the first chapter and I am hooked on this book. Nathaniell knows what he is talking about and to want to share it with others is awesome. He is totally honest in telling it like it is when it comes to a WordPress blog and making money online. It is not a get rich quick idea. It is a real business that has the potential to build a life and dreams on. Everything you need to know to get started is in his book Money Blog. Follow his advice. I highly recommend this book.

This is probably the best book on its topic

This is probably the best book on its topic. It’s obvious that the author knows his stuff. I have been through tons of books, courses and other training, but “Money Blog” is probably the most complete resource I have ever seen.

Nathaniel does a great job of walking you through everything you need to know from start to finish. And at the end of each chapter there is a short summary that tells you the exact steps you need to take next. I found that to be the most helpful because I forget things easily, especially after reading a dozen pages or so.

There are courses online that don’t cover half as much as this book, yet they sell for hundreds of dollars.

Immature plot - A major turn off for a avid reader

Honestly,I had lot of expectations from this book.In the end,I felt let down and dejected.The premise of the novel had a real powerful prospect to be a true bestseller.But,after first few chapters one can feel the author trying to rush the plot instead of slowly unraveling the plot delicately.A thriller novel plot should be like a onion with many layers.Apart from the speed of the plot,the story itself feels very immature and cheesy.The plot is perfect for our Bollywood movies where the viewers are expected to leave their brains,reasoning or logic at home before coming to the theaters.The plot which was really really bad was the current day plot(Gangadhar's plot).

There is not much to the Chanakya's plot,it was like a condensed version of history with some modifications to actual history.The part where the author was supposed to shine was the current day plot mirroring Chanakya's story.But,here as a reader I kept asking myself,why on earth would this character fall for that and how come everything proceeds so smoothly.Even Chanakya himself faced some difficulties,surprises which made him re-analyze his strategy and tactics.But here we see the hero's plan goes like a knife in half-melted butter.

As a reader who bought the book,I expected some twists,turns & shockers while reading it.But,here I felt like someone who bought a ticket to a awesome looking roller coaster ride ,which ended up running like the fake train for kids in a shopping mall.

Again this is my opinion.Everyone has their own tastes,so buy at your own discretion.

A Masterpiece , Great Insight into Politics

Beautifully written book.
Polictics is a Genre which is difficult to get into and make interesting.
Most of the times you predict what might happen and get it right.
In this book I was surprised by the twists and turn and cunningness of both CHanakya and Gangasagar.

The link between the 2 characters is awesome, Chandni and Chandragupta are postrayed nicely too.
The characters are so well defined and writen, you just keep going and going into the book despite it being a long book.
The langauge is smooth and transition between various episodes is nicely done.

I liked the way the 2 stories run in parallel and portray the growth of the 2 leaders.

Politics can be a beautiul tool to help the country grom or Kill it. I like the way chankya says "Leader is not the server of the population but a master, he just portrays that he is the server" also keep 10% money for yourself but give the rest out to people. You should make money but help the country grow so that you can make more money.

The Hook and Crook methods of getting votes is nicely described.
I just hope current say politicians help the counrty grow and also the people, I dont care if they get kickbacks and make money as long as People grow and are well off

Disappointing.

This is Sanghi's second novel I read, after his more recent 'The Krishna Key'. Frankly, I was disappointed. Average ratings suggested that Chanakya's Chant is better received than Krishna Key, and it was with that expectation and excitement that I purchased this. But, as I mentioned, this is disappointing.

The historical part depicting Chanakya is relatively grippier, but the modern day narrative is too contrived, naive and amateurish. The modern tale reads more like an ordinary Bollywood script with politics as a background and scheming, dirty, evil, corrupt characters for the various roles. More often than not the quotes, sentences and dialogues are a simplistic and literal translation of spoken Hindi into English, which leaves a lot to be desired. Add to that numerous, purportedly high wisdom one-liners to be found in almost every paragraph, all of which make Gangasagar (the modern 'Chanakya' in this novel) sound too unreal. However cunning and shrewd a person may be, I doubt they converse in such an unreal manner through quoting quotes every second breath.

Further, there are too many sub-plots and small incidents that keep getting narrated, making the plot very confusing and complex. As it is the reader has to keep track of two parallel times, and to add to that numerous complexities is unnecessary. Things could have been kept a lot simpler, and leaner, and the book therefore ought to have been about a 100-150 pages shorter.

While I like the overall idea and concept behind this novel, the treatment, narrative and the language are a big let down when judged in the context of the high expectations set for this novel from an author who clearly is vastly gifted and different from the ordinary.

About the Author
Robert B. Miller is currently Vice-President for Technology Development for the SureBeam Corporation, the world's only company specifically devoted to food irradiation using accelerator sources of ionizing radiation. He holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Ohio State University  (1973), and has held a variety of relevant technical and managerial positions in his 30-year career. He has over 30 open-literature publications, and is the author of the text An Introduction to the Physics of Intense Charged Particle Beams, Plenum (1981).

Heiman is co-founder of Miller Heiman, Inc., one of the most prestigious sales consulting firms, and author of several best-selling buisness books. His more than thirty-year career includes sales, sales management, and senior management positions.

Tuleja has researched and published thousands of quirky facts in the many books.

Combine it with "Strategic Selling" and start selling!

I read this book to prepare myself for a salescourse at the company where I work. As it turns out I am no salesman, but the trainer did note that I had a very good insight into the salesprocess. So good, in fact, that he advised me to become a selling consultant for my company instead of a salesman. All that, thanks to having read this book in combination with "The New Strategic Selling" (also by Heiman). If you really want to start selling, you must read this book!

Throw the old rules of traditional sales out the window. Stephen E. Heiman and his co-authors, Diane Sanchez and Tad Tuleja, state in no uncertain terms that to remain a successful sales professional, you need to change the way you view the selling process. They advocate a customer-driven model of sales as the only approach for long-term success. The book includes “personal workshops” to allow you to apply these concepts directly to your sales situation. We ...recommend this book to anyone frustrated by the limitations of product-pitch selling. Note: This book is a revision of Conceptual Selling (by Robert Bruce Miller with Heiman and Tuleja, Warner Books, 1987), which has been updated to reflect the economy of today and tomorrow.
